ENGINE

ENGINE CASES
Re-designed engine cases with modified engine ventilation system. » Accommodates a deep oil sump allowing better engine performance and increased oil capacity: 2L.

TRANSMISSION
Close ratio 5-speed transmission, no reverse. » Provides the right gear for all track conditions.

ELECTRIC START
Engine was reduced to electric starter only. » Quick to start in any situation resulting in less rider fatigue.

CYLINDER HEAD
Two overhead camshafts and DLC-coated finger followers drive the four Titanium Valves. » High tech performance engine.

CRANKSHAFT DRIVE
With its design it maximizes the centrifugal mass and thus ensures more power from below.

CLUTCH
MAGURA hydraulic clutch with stainless steel braided clutch line and quick change clutch cover. » This maintenance-free clutch pulls in effortlessly and has automatic adjustment.

LUBRICATION
Common oil lubrication for engine, clutch and gearbox. Optimized dry sump design with increased oil capacity for ATV use. » Easy access to the oil filter keeps maintenance simple.

COOLING SYSTEM
Lightweight curved aluminium radiator is fitted with an electric cooling fan. Thermostat helps maintain constant engine temperature. » Curved shape helps improve air flow for better cooling.

CARBURETTOR
Keihin FCR-MX 41 mm flat slide carb with acceleration pump and TPS. (Throttle Positioning Sensor). » Very responsive and easy to tune.

AIR BOX
Unique Airbox with specially designed snorkel that allows for increased air intake due to higher engine revs. Air intake draws from the highest point to reduce intake of water and mud. » Quick release seat and no tools required to service air filter allows for easy service.

EXHAUST
Performance tuned header pipe and modern SX aluminium silencer with integrated filter that meets sound requirements. » Lightweight, high flow design.

CHASSIS

FRAME
Lightweight and powder-coated Chromoly steel design derived from the proven SX frames. Chassis places the engine low for a low center of gravity and optimal swingarm pivot to countershaft position. » Provides excellent durability and performance.

SUBFRAME
Aluminium subframe with removable rear grab bar. » Lightweight, durable and easy to remove.

FRONT WHEEL SUSPENSION
Front chromoly steel SX A-arms provide a 1.265 mm wheelbase with adjustable caster / camber. This results in superior motocross handling. A-arm width designed exclusively for motocross racing. Upper arms fitted with adjustable (replaceable) Heim joint bearings. Lower needle bearings and upper / lower ball joints are replaceable. A-arms are extremely durable, and provide easy maintenance with reduced cost.

FRONT SUSPENSION
Industry - exclusive fully adjustable WP piggyback suspension elements with high/low speed compression, preload and rebound adjustments. Dual rate springs with adjustable crossover. 244 mm front wheel travel. Highest Ready to Race quality, adjustable for rider preference and varying terrains. Specifically designed for Motocross.

REAR WHEEL SUSPENSION
Strong chromoly steel swing arm with eccentric chain adjuster. Chromoly rear axle with high quality tapered roller bearings that are easy to lubricate. New shock anchorage point for MX application with 10 mm longer shaft travel. Adjustable axle width from 1.213 mm – 1.265 mm for race conditions. Self locking rear axle nut for quick tire changes.

REAR SUSPENSION
WP "Progressive Damping System" (PDS) single shock with preload, high and low speed compression and rebound adjustment. Industry exclusive dual rate springs with adjustable crossover. Allows a no linkage design for reduced weight, maximum ground clearance and easy maintenance. 264 mm rear wheel travel. Chromoly rear axle with high quality tapered roller bearings that are easy to lubricate. Provides excellent damping at lowest possible weight.

MAGURA BRAKE SYSTEM
Front: 4-piston fixed calipers with 180 mm discs vented for cooling and cleaning capability. Fitted with an adjustable lever with an integrated break point and lightweight parking brake.
Rear: 1-piston floating caliper, large 200 mm brake disc. Master cylinder with integrated reservoir. » Most powerful brake system produced by MAGURA exclusively for KTM.
